The conference will be held at the Auditorium al Duomo, inside the historic city center (UNESCO World Heritage Site), in a walking distance from the train station and the airport shuttle bus station. Coffee breaks and lunches will be served nearby at Ristorante Sabatini, one of the finest and most traditional restaurants in Florence (exclusively reserved).

Travel and Accommodation

Florence Airport (FLR) can be easily reached by plane from all the major airline hubs in Europe. Flights are available, for example, from Paris (Air France), London (British Airways), Amsterdam (KLM), Munich and Frankfurt (Lufthansa), Zurich and Geneva (Swiss), Vienna (Austrian Airlines), Rome (Alitalia), with convenient connections to all destinations worldwide. Direct flights from many cities in Europe are also available with Air Berlin, Brussels Airlines, Darwin Airline, Volotea, Vueling; the airports of Pisa (PSA, reachable by train every hour, ~1h travel, 8€) and Bologna (BLQ, reachable by train every half hour, 40m travel, 25€), offer additional flights and connections.

An airport shuttle bus runs every half hour between the airport and the city center (4.5€, see the schedule and flyer).

High speed trains are available to and from Turin (2h40m), Milan (2h), Venice (2h), Padua (1h40m), Bologna (40m), Rome (1h30m), Naples (2h40m), with connections to destinations in northern Europe. For more information: NTV Italo, Frecce Trenitalia.

We suggest an accommodation in the historic city center, so as to allow you to be as close as possible to the best sights and restaurants of the city. A list of suggested hotels and discount rate codes can be found on the FLORENCE 2014 venue page.
